The Mengarian Conspiracy is a fun, epic LitRPG series I wrote quite a while ago. Now I’m dusting off the old manuscripts so I can publish them for your enjoyment.
This world is my most “classic” fantasy world, very much inspired by D&D campaigns and epic fantasy. If you like adventures with retired Fighters, burly Tavern Owners and Hedge Wizards, blonde Bards, and slim, tough Assassins, you’ll enjoy this series.
Each book contains one big adventure, and there is an underlying arc – but I don’t know how many books it’ll take until my heroes end up where I envision them in the final scene.
At any rate, it’s a wild romp through a massive fantasy world, replete with many sentient races, a king losing power, various political factions, and of course, evil overlords – and my heroes navigating through all of this while cheerfully throwing fireballs, knives, songs, stews, bread and whatever else at their enemies.
Do not take this too seriously.
With all of this, I now present the first book in the series. (There are two more written that will be published in 2026.)
A Goblin’s Plight
A hungry little Goblin. A Baker with a good heart. A retired Fighter in need of a little help.
When Orren, tavern owner and baker with a smidge of magic, encounters a starving little Goblin, he doesn’t hesitate to feed her. However, the small town of Oxbridge does not appreciate a whole tribe of Goblins helping themselves to the citizens’ chicken, pies and shirts.
To appease the council, Sheriff and retired Fighter Terna teams up with Orren to find out what is going on. After meeting with Chief Zippek, a merry band of adventurers sets out to free the Goblins’ home from the monster that has invaded their caves – and to preserve the dignity of Oxbridge’s citizens.
What they discover is merely the beginning of a series of adventures featuring an ever growing band of unlikely heroes. Stumbling from one quest to another, they must grow their skills, their friendships, as well as their sense of humor, and finally prevent an evil conspiracy from taking over their world.
