Spring Thougts – a Poem

Mid-April.

When nature renews itself.

When it steps out of winter, when it returns to growth.

When it is alive again.

Green.

Hopeful.

Spring.

Two days ago, Notre Dame burned.

Tears. Shock. Grief.

And.

Relief.

It’s not as bad as it seemed, the cathedral is still standing, it’s safe.

It will be rebuilt.

A new roof.

Renewal.

Even for a cathedral.

Spring.

Let’s make it spring for our world.

Let’s step back into life, into our full humanity.

Let’s rekindle hope, love, kindness, caring and support.

Growth.

Humanity.

Spring.
